Corps Angklung SMA 5: Memorabilia Harmony For Charity

Angklung, national heritage which famous with art and education value. Grow as a folk culture in
west java, angklung has became unseparative part from the history of Indonesia for many centuries. The glorious voice of angklung respected not only by our nation, but also by international community.
Unfortunately, time goes on and scrapes this priceless angklung. Only a few people who still preserve and develop it. There are many problems about angklung nowadays. Amount of teenagers, don’t know what angklung exactly is. They don’t know how to play it. If we keep this situation, no wonder in next 50 years angklung will facing its extinction.
west java, angklung has became unseparative part from the history of Indonesia for many centuries. The glorious voice of angklung respected not only by our nation, but also by international community.Unfortunately, time goes on and scrapes this priceless angklung. Only a few people who still preserve and develop it. There are many problems about angklung nowadays. Amount of teenagers, don’t know what angklung exactly is. They don’t know how to play it. If we keep this situation, no wonder in next 50 years angklung will facing its extinction.
Corps Angklung V 5 Senior High School is a part of angklung community. As a part of angklung community we keep preserve and develop angklung. Although there are many changes in angklung so far, like the pentatonic harmony, that changed into diatonic.
Memorabilia Harmony For Charity, is an agenda of CAV activity that will present the evolution of angklung since 1900 till now. From the origin of angklung till now angklung can collaborate with another musical instrument in various genres.
As a first step to reach our aim, this Memorabilia Harmony For Charity as a preserve action to angklung development. This is a real action to make angklung be everlasting in the future and also to educate and entertain Indonesian generation. In addition, we insert Charity to help the facilities renovation

Performance
In 2 hours, this concert is going to perform many songs in various genres. There will be several collaboration with many other musical instruments like piano, guitar, gamelan, etc. There are 3 sessions of Memorabilia Harmony For Charity about angklung development from, especially Corps Angklung V development.
Project Trial ( 1980’s)
The period when angklung was first established, so did CAV.

• Manuk Dadali
Experiment Trial ( 1990’s )
The period when angklung still struggle for collaborating with another musical instrument and trying to play song in various genres.

• Mojang Priangan
• St. Elmo’s Fire
Existence Trial ( 2000’s )
The period when the name of angklung started to spread in all over indonesia and in the International Community. Angklung keeps its existance as Indonesian culture.

• Sempurna ( Andra and The Backbone )
