Another beautiful undiscovered beach in the Southern of West Java is Santolo Beach. Located in the southern most of Garut district, about 88 km or 3.5 hour drive from Garut city. If you are planning for an ideal vacation, then Santolo Beach is the best option you can choose. The cost is not too burdensome, with only IDR 50.000 to 100.000 you can rent a room for one night, or you simply can rent a bungalow for around IDR 200.000 to 300.000 depending on the quality of the bungalow. Then you can reach the beach by using private transportation or public transportation.
The way from the city of Garut to the Santolo Beach will be an adventure in itself, you will pass the tea gardens shrouded in the foggy and well-preserved forests. Please be careful at the trips because you are going through the route of the mountains and the thick foggy tea gardens with visibility 10 meter. If you want to use public transport, you can take bus from Bandung to Garut and then to Pamengpeuk. After arriving at pamengpeuk, you can use a shuttle bus to beach santolo directly.
