In the mountains between Bandung and Bogor is the lovely Puncak, an area synonymous woth cool, misty mountains. Here there are leisurely trails across hills and valleys, ahigh altitude preserve, a tea estate, mountain climbing and a drive-through zoo. But above all there is a wide variety of hotels nestled on the hills. Puncak (Summit) has commonly come to refer to the area on both sides of the summit (1,500 m), from Cianjur east of it to just above Bogor west of it. Domas Crater (Kawah Domas) Boiling Springs

A favorite spot of volcanic activity to visit is the Domas Crater, located about a kilometer down the northeastern slope. A wide, well marked stairway leads down from the car park at Kawah Ratu. The walk takes about thirty minutes.
